A Tale of Redemption:

Karen had a late-term abortion, with some serious after-effects, over 14 years ago. She then found the Lord Jesus and experienced his grace and the amazing forgiveness of God. God has also blessed her enormously since then with 7 children!

Recently she was lead to visit some pro-life websites and made the following comments in an email I recently (Feb 06) received from her:

“Thanks for your time on Sunday, I feel encouraged to be able to share of God’s prompting in this issue, in my life.

I came home that night and read through your articles and think that they are very good. I would very much like to meet Graham Preston and his family some day, and glean from his boldness.

I also looked over that Abortion TV website and found some time to view “The Silent Scream” and another one called “Hard Truth”.
This has had a profound effect on me further still, and nothing could have prepared me for that, despite my own experiences.

I wept deeply, as I recalled the graphics images of these precious ones that had been murdered, and I was (like never before) confronted with the ugliness of what I had done to my own child many years ago. My baby was very much similar in size to some of these mid-term abortions, and this has deeply affected me.

But the effect in me is a Godly one, because I know that while 6 months after my own conversion (14 years ago) God enabled me to find His grace, and forgiveness.

This time all these years later, I have been given fresher revelation and understanding of how amazing God’s great grace, mercy and abundant forgiveness truly is, even for those who have been a party to such evil, as in the murder of babies, such as I was!

As I wept deeply after looking at the video footage, instead of enormous guilt and filthiness, I experienced such a profound thankfulness for God’s forgiveness of me such as I have never experienced before in 14 years of Christian journeying, and began to openly thank Him, through great drops of tears, for His cleansing forgiveness.

It is only when a person can honestly look full into the face of the ugliness, and darkness of their sin, as excruciating as it is, and examine it, to know it for the death it brings…… can one fully appreciate the depth of God’s great mercy and grace, the light and the life that it brings and the truth that you can then abide in.

This is what will change these women’s lives forever, not only being confronted with the reality of their baby’s death (should they chose to abort, or have already aborted), but in then knowing Him who is able to cleanse and forgive them with everlasting mercy!
